Rev Barry Coleman Frazier

Reverend Barry C. Frazier, a devoted pastor, accomplished electronic engineer, faithful veteran, published author, loving father, and treasured friend, was born on April 24, 1950, in Georgetown, Kentucky, to the late Churchill and Clara Frazier. As the eldest of three children, he embraced leadership and responsibility early in life, laying a foundation of strength, integrity, and faith that would guide him throughout his journey. Rev. Frazier graduated from John Marshall High School in Richmond, Virginia, in 1968. That same year, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army, where he faithfully served from 1968 to 1971 and received an Honorable Discharge. His military service reflected the discipline, honor, and courage that would characterize every aspect of his life. Following his military service, Reverend Frazier pursued higher education and graduated from Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Kentucky. He also studied briefly at Liberty University, continuing to equip himself spiritually and academically for his divine assignment. In addition to his ministry, he built a respected career as an electronic engineer, demonstrating diligence, intelligence, and excellence in his profession. A man deeply devoted to truth and righteousness, Rev. Frazier was also a published author. He boldly penned TAKING A STAND FOR TRUTH IN TODAY'S WORLD, a work that reflected his unwavering commitment to biblical principles and his desire to encourage believers to stand firm in their faith. His voice extended beyond the pulpit, leaving a written legacy that continues to inspire. Reverend Frazier faithfully shepherded congregations across Kentucky, serving as pastor of St. James A.M.E. Church in Danville, St. Matthew in Midway, St. Paul in Manchester, St. John in Paducah, and St. Paul in Owensboro. He later became a proud and active member of the Ministerial Staff at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Lexington, Kentucky. In every church he served, he led with compassion, conviction, and spiritual authority, preaching the unadulterated Word of God with clarity and boldness. On September 27, 2003, Reverend Frazier was united in holy matrimony to his beloved wife, whom he affectionately called his “Beautiful Yellow Woman,” Fonseco Frazier. Together, they established a home firmly rooted in reverence for God, unwavering faith, and enduring family values. Side by side, they labored in love to nurture their family and strengthen their community. From their union, they were blessed with four children: Aaron Frazier, Brittney, Brandy, and Brianna Robinson. Beyond his many commitments, Reverend Frazier found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed collecting coins, preparing sermons, and studying Scripture to craft biblical lessons that would uplift and edify God’s people. His study time was sacred to him; it was in those quiet hours that he sought wisdom and revelation to faithfully feed the flock. Reverend Barry C. Frazier was preceded in death by his parents, Churchill and Clara Frazier. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife, Fonseco Frazier; his children, Aaron (Kineta) Frazier, Brittney, Brandy, and Brianna Robinson; and eleven grandchildren: Keiron Perez, Aalaysha Robinson, Dahvon Frazier, Jahvon Frazier, Jada Frazier, Asiyah Robinson, Jasmin, J.T. Frazier, A'lijah Mason-Robinson, Emani, and Julian Robinson. He also leaves one sister, Kathy Padgett; one brother, Russell Frazier; one sister-in-law, Rev. Tanya (Dr. Calvin) Lowe; one brother-in-law, LaDon Caulder; one aunt, Lottie Williams; one great-aunt, Alice Delamar; Uncle Jimmy Barber; two nephews, Ben Frazier and Joseph Weatherford; and a host of cousins, extended family members, friends, and spiritual sons and daughters who were blessed by his life and ministry. Reverend Barry C. Frazier’s life was a testimony of service—service to God, to country, to family, and to community. He stood for truth, walked in faith, and loved with sincerity. Though he has transitioned from earthly labor to eternal reward, his legacy of unwavering faith, bold proclamation, and steadfast devotion will forever echo in the hearts of those he touched. “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
