Henry F.T. Mason

Henry F.T. Mason, a native of Lexington, Kentucky, graced the world on December 29th, 1949. Born to James and Emily William Mason, he embarked on a journey that profoundly impacted the lives of those around him, including his beloved siblings Artermishia Sweat, Edwina Cleveland, Donald Mason, Lexington, Kentucky. On Thursday, January 18th, 2024, coinciding with the birthday of his cherished granddaughter LaMiah Monyai Cordray, Henry peacefully transitioned to his eternal home. His family holds a profound belief that Henry chose this poignant day to share one more birthday celebration with his cherished LaMiah before embracing his eternal journey. Henry devoted himself to Christ at a young age, joining Main Street Baptist Church. In 1997, he transferred his membership to St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Jerome Norwood. Henry served as an usher and actively participated in the Church Anniversary Committee. Henry received his education from the from the Fayette County Pubic School System and graduated from Bryan Station High School. He served one tour in Vietnam as a Military Police Office in the US Army and concluded his military career after serving 4 years in the Army Reserve. Henry went to work at IBM in 1973, which became IBM/Lexmark and retired after 32 years. After retiring, Henry dedicated a year and a half to serving as a bus monitor for Fayette County Public Schools. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Sister Edwina Cleveland; in laws, Mary and William Allen, and Robert Williams, Sr. Henry to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 50 years Sharon Williams Mason, devoted daughters Anell Mann (George), Felicia Cordray (Manuel), Charlotte, NC., one God daughter Michelle "Mimi" Mashburn, Dallas, TX, one sister, Artermishia Sweat, two brother Donald Mason (Marcia). and James Mason, Lexington, Ky. four grandchildren, Jazmine Leigh Burroughs-Rice (Jay) Lexington, Kentucky, Manneja Cordray, LaMiah Cordray,II, all of Charlotte, NC. Henry also leaves to cherish his memory, in laws, Betty Williams Tudor (Robert Williams II (Anna), Regina Sharp, Vanessa Mitchell,and Rosha. great grandchildren, Marcus, Ja`ziya, Jay !!! , Londyn, Kingston, and host of other family members and friends. Special persons in Henry's life not limited to but does include.,Jeralene Greenlee, , Georgia Logan. Nawanna Tyler, Mary Lewis, William Bradley, Patricia Sweat and Beverly Lucas Hardin. Henry F.T. Mason, with his legacy of love and service, will be dearly remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
