Thomas E. Jones

Thomas Edward Jones Jr. (TJ) was born to Brenda K. Jackson and Thomas E. Jones Sr. on June 23, 1980, and departed this life on May 22, 2025. He is proceeded in death by his mother Brenda K Jackson and Thomas E. Jones Sr., niece ShaReece Jackson, also his coaches Johnson and Bo Yeast. He was raised by his Mother Brenda in Lexington, Ky until the age of 10 years old along with his older sisters Stephanie, Bridget and Kimberly Jackson. Thomas then moved to Harrodsburg with his father Thomas Sr. and his Stepmother Shirley Jones. Thomas also has a younger sister Kristie Jones also from Lexington. Thomas developed a strong loving relationship with all his siblings. In Harrodsburg, Thomas played little league baseball and football. He continued playing football all through High School where the team won a championship and received championship rings. Thomas graduated from Harrodsburg High School in 1999; he went to Morehead State University where he graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. While in college, he was part of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, where he developed lifelong relationships with his Frat brothers. Thomas loved being a truck driver, traveling the states and meeting new people along the way. This job is where he met the love of his life, his Fiancé Rachel Pennington. Thomas and Rachel resided in Seabrook Texas with their beautiful daughter Teagan Hadley Pennington Jones. Thomas was a great father. Teagan, his baby girl was his pride and joy he loved her more than anything. Preceded in death also by maternal Grandmother Rosetta Sparks, Aunt Jacquline Smith, Aunt Janice Taylor, Uncle James Smith Jr., and his paternal Grandmother Lou Ella Jones, Aunt Hattie May Barbour, Uncle William Jones, Aunt Gladys Hardin, Aunt Mary Edna Davis, Aunt Gaynell Turner and Aunt Elizabeth Madison. He leaves behind to carry on his legacy his sisters: Stephanie Jackson, Bridget Jackson, Kimberly Jackson and Kristie Jones, fiancé Rachel Pennington, daughter Teagan Hadley Pennington-Jones, Stepmother Shirley (Billy) Bertram, His nieces and nephews who he loved dearly Fenisha Morton, Terrance Drake Jr., William Champs Jr., LeDarius Jackson (Sharell Byrd Jackson), Rainele Jackson, Taekawon Champs, Tantalissia Champs, Xavier Champs, Destinee Champ, Melanie and Madilyn Alberts. A host of Great nephews and niece. Uncles and aunts: Allen Jones, Wilma Burdette, Carolyn Allen, Carolyn Green, Brenetta (Mike) Osumenya, Jonnie Mae Gordon, William (Sherry) Green. Thomas Jones has a lot of extended Family and Friends in Harrodsburg and In Morehead and everywhere he has traveled. His Frat Brothers from Pi Kappa Phi. Thomas Jones was a big guy with an even bigger heart to know him was to LOVE him!
