Anthony Reimondo Walker Sr.

Tony attended Liberty School on Liberty St., an area fondly known as "Big Bottom", before continuing his education at Hazard High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his military career, he had the opportunity to travel extensively and experience different parts of the world, he greatly valued. A devoted man of faith, Tony accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at Consolidated Baptist Church in Hazard, KY. His relationship with the Lord was among the greatest blessings and accomplishments. In later years, he faithfully attended Consolidated Baptist Church in Lexington where he remained steadfast in his commitment to worship, rarely missing a service whether in person or participating online. Tony was a complex man to understand, yet he was willing to lend a helping hand. Throughout his life, he touched countless lives and formed many lifelong friendships that will continue to keep his memory alive for years to come. His generosity, loyalty and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate to know him. Tony will be remembered for his quick wit, generous spirit and unwavering kindness toward others. He was a passionate supporter of the University of Kentucky and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the Wildcats. He also had a deep love for fishing and was known by family and friends as a master fisherman who found great joy and peace on the water. His legacy of faith, service, friendship, laughter and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor Combs, Sr. and Charlotte "Lottie" Combs, his brother, Taylor "Cricket" Combs, Jr. and his sister, Vivian Cunningham. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Anthony "TJ" Reimondo Walker, Jr., brothers, Jeff (Canelia) and James "Butch" (Francis) Reed, sisters, Joanne Bledsoe and Tanya (Rodney) Redvine. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends. Special acknowledgements are extended to Keith (Lorena) Knowles, Russ and his adopted daughter, Crystal Monique (Lyric) Gerton, Shera Dawn Moran (Aubrianna and Aiden) and Tori Dotson (G) whose friendship, love and support meant so much throughout his life.
