Mrs. Betty Jean Beatty

Mrs. Betty Jean Beatty was born on February 28, 1932, to the late Edward Taylor and Oaker Lee Taylor. She answered God's call from this earthly life to her heavenly home on July 10, 2023 She accepted Christ and was baptized on November 26, 1944, at the Main Street Baptist Church (Lex Ky.), later uniting with the Greater Liberty Baptist Church (Lex ky.), and on to attending the St. John Missionary Baptist Church (Lex Ky). doing her reasonable service here on earth, she worked for Fayette County Public Schools food service, and the Veterans Administration Hospital for 20 years are so. After retiring she volunteered to work with the foster grandparents program with the babies which she absolutely loved. Preceding her in death is her husband Mr. Mitchell Beatty. One sister Mrs. Oma Lee Baker, two daughters: Valerie (Jimmy) Weaver, and Verlene Q. (Alex) Green the daughter she donated a kidney to in 1986. One son Lewis A. Gill Cobb. A grandson also precedes her in death: Quinton L. Gill. Her legacy includes three daughters left to celebrate her life. Velma Johnson, Mrs. Valois (David) Lewis, Mrs. Arletta (Anthony) Garlington. Grandchildren: Monica Gill, Michelle Allen, LaShawnda Lewis, Jay Taylor, Glenn Taylor Jr, Shalo Johnson, and Leea Johnson. Great grandchildren Avonte Lewis, Justin Gill, Isaiah Allen, Lauryn McMillan, Maryah Godfrey, Kayli Taylor, Glenn Taylor 3rd (Trey), Phillip Taylor (PJ). A good friend Marvina Crowders. And a host of nieces, nephews and family members, and friends left to celebrate her transitioning to a life with her Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. She absolutely loved family gatherings with her nephew and nieces: Donnie Baker, Dwayne (Carol) Baker, Deborah (Allen) Milton, Donna Baker, Darrell Baker, as well her host of great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She always greeted everyone with "hello", have a seat, make yourself at home. Sometimes she would sit quietly and enjoy her surroundings of just seeing everyone having a good time with one another, and catching up with each other, especially her families from out of state. She adored and loved to see the little ones running around getting into mischief. The look on her face would be priceless. Unconditional love showing on her face and actions towards people. Her example of living right and doing things decent and in order, treating people right stood out. We were taught to trust the Lord in all we do. And that our help comes from the Lord. Mama was not a last minute type of person, she'd well planned things in advance, so she didn't have to rush things and mistakes could be made. And she went what she planned. She taught to always pray and ask the Lord, and go with what he tells you to do and do it! And you will not be sorry because the Good Lord will not tell you nothing wrong. She had several favorite scriptures: Psalms 118:8. Exodus 14:14, John 3:16, Psalm 24, and Psalm 50, just to name a few.
