Ernest "Junnie" Blair Jr.

Ernest Thomas Jr. (Junnie) was born to Ernest Thomas Blair Sr. and Lamar Henderson Blair on August 10th 1963, in Lexington, KY. He departed this life Friday morning July 30th, 2021, surrounded by his family. Ernest (Junnie) confessed his hope in Christ after being baptized in 1991 at Christ Temple New Assembly in Lexington, KY He attended Lafayette Senior High School in Lexington, KY, while attending there he obtained employment with the Fayette County Parks and Recreation as a life guard for Douglas Park and it was there that he began to be very popular and loved by many, from there he worked for Fayette Public Schools as a bus driver. Ernest (Junnie) was a very dedicated, devoted and earnest worker, who would work until the job was done. He later became employed at Professional Expediting Trucking Company in Lexington for over 18 years and remained with them until his departure. Ernest (Junnie) Married Dist Elder Sheila Y Blair in April 1991, and as he promised to her that he would always take good care of her until he died, he faithfully made sure his wife was financially taken care. He cherished his family and those who knew and loved him, knew him to be very dependable and had the gift of helps, it didn’t, matter who or where Junnie to the rescue. Ernest was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Charles Blair and Malinda Dunn, his maternal grandparents Charles and Carrie Henderson, his grandson Lavon Smith and his elder brother Gregory Thomas Blair Sr. Ernest leaves to cherish his memories his wife Dist Elder Sheila Y Blair, his parents Ernest T Blair Sr.and Lamar H Blair of Lexington, 5 siblings Denise (Rev. Shadrick) Edmonds, Min. Michael (Pastor Freda) Blair of Winchester, KY, Vickie (Dennis) Medley of Charlotte, NC, Gary (Demetria) Blair of Lexington, and Christopher (Abby) Blair of Louisville, KY, four children Ernest Million (Latease), LaShara ( Isaac) Phillips, Annetta (Benjamin) Barnes and Tyler Mitchell all of Lexington. 9 Grandkids Cameron, Caiden, Caleb Million, Remington Phillips, Halivah, Benjamin, Havier, Hope, and Noah Barnes; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Junnie as we all know him will definitely be missed by all that knew him. Gone but never FORGOTTEN!
